Commercial Assistant


The Company

A leading Main Contractor with a portfolio filled with cost effective refurbishment projects £5m+ which upgrade and extend the life of client's structures. They have over 65 years experience in the market consistently working collaboratively with clients to build and maintain strong relations.



Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications

For this role you must possess the following;



Essential requirements:

* Previous Experience in the construction industry
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Working knowledge of all Microsoft programmes including excel
* Document control experience

The Role

As the Commercial Assistant you will be responsible for assisting the commercial aspect of the business to ensure that the business remains successful and ever growing.

Duties

* Liaising with both subcontractors and internal staff including project manager, engineering and the commercial support team.
* Monitor costs on projects
* Assisting in monthly reports to all levels of the business
* Manage, create and maintain filing systems and databases
* Assisting in forecasting and budgeting of the works
* Learning the method of pricing works using the approved rates already agree with the Client and developing new rates as and when required
* Assisting putting together Application/Valuation to the client
