The Company

A UK major main construction and engineering contractor with over 30 years experience in Civil Engineering and Building Services in both the private and public sector. They have a vast portfolio of developments and have successfully delivered projects in highway construction, deep sewer installation, cofferdams, heavy foundations, piling, jetty works and factory units, which has allowed them to provide construction solutions to some of the world's most successful and enduring businesses.

The Project

An accomplished Project Manager with proven industry experience working on the £2.5m+ HS2 Diversion Works in Birmingham. Supporting the production of profitable tenders for authorisation and submission, in order to maximise the order pipeline and its conversion into market share, revenue and operating profit within the business unit. You will assist and guide the team to ensure client satisfaction whilst having tight control of project budget and time scale.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following Qualifications as a minimum;

* 3 years + experience a similar Project Management role
* CSCS Card
* SMSTS
* Health and Safety astute with demonstratable experience
* First Aid

It is also not essential but ideal that you hold the experience below;

* Tunnelling and shaft experience - however there is an onsite specialist team
* Good written and verbal communication skills

Duties

* QA
* Health & Safety
* Progress Reporting
* Liaising with clients
* Updating Site Diaries
* Complete Paperwork
* Inductions / Toolbox Talks
* Overseeing Subcontractors
* Ordering materials, plant and labour for site
* Assisting in the management of onsite labour including subcontractors
* Build and Maintain effective relationships with the client and sub contractors
* Manage support and mentor members of the project team in both personal and professional development
