Our client carries out engineering and construction projects in various sectors including healthcare, residential, commercial, education, heritage & defence. The company has aspirations to become Britain's Best Builder, proving this by their participation in building some of Britain's most recognisable projects and buildings.

The Project

Our client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to work on a number of prestigious Highway projects in Knutsford, Manchester. The projects are multidisciplinary including Design, Track, OLE, Signalling, Civils, Station and Platforms works and will require someone with relevant experience.

For this role it is essential that you carry the following qualifications as a minimum;

* BSc Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management or equivalent experience / memberships


It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

* Experience in the construction industry with a main contractor in a similar role
* Experience working on projects worth £10million and above



The Role

* Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
* Job Type: Permanent
* Project: Various Highway Projects

Duties

* Contract Administration
* Liaising with the Project Planner
* Procure and manage Subcontractors
* Compile, submit and agree Variations
* Internal and external management reporting
* Maintain good relationships with all stakeholders
* Prepare and submit Client Applications for Payment
* Implement Commercial Strategy for the project to ensure successful Commercial delivery
* Manage various commercial aspects including procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations and management of subcontract works packages through to final account
* Dedicated to minimising risk, cost and maximising value by cost checking and analysis of labour, plant and materials
