Site Manager


The Company

One of Yorkshires longest standing family-owned construction companies having been running for almost 150 years. Over the generations, the company has grown and developed to turnover an impressive £22m and spanning a range of sectors including education, leisure, heritage, commercial and residential both new build and refurbishment.



The Project

A £5m New Build Fire Station in the Bingley area with multiple phases of work including demolition of an existing building, asbestos removal, construction of a new steel frame, brickwork and internal fit out. The successful candidate will be involved in the pre-con and design stages through to site set up and construction through to hand over.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* SMSTS
* First Aid
* CSCS Card

It is also advantageous to hold the experience below;

* Experience of managing the construction of similar schemes
* Experience of working in a live construction environment such as school or hospital
* Preferably from a trade background or degree qualified with 10 years site experience

* Reporting to: Contracts Manager

Duties

* Health & Safety
* Progress Reporting
* Updating Site Diaries
* Inductions / Toolbox Talks
* Chair and attend site meetings
* Quality Inspections / Snagging
* Ordering / Receiving of materials
* Carry out programme and budget evaluations
* Attending and Participating in Project meetings
* Negotiate with vendors, suppliers and subcontractors
* Management of onsite labour including subcontractors
* Reporting in to and working closely with the Senior Management Team and end client
