The Project

As an accomplished Project Manager with proven industry experience you will manage the site team in the successful delivery of a new build / refurbishment of a learning facility based in Blythe. You will assist and guide the team to ensure client satisfaction whilst having tight control of project budget and time scale.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* Educated to HNC / ONC Level or equivalent construction industry related qualification
* SMSTS
* First Aid
* CSCS Card

It is also essential that you hold the experience and skills below;

* Excellent verbal and written communication
* Reliable with strong time management skills
* Experienced in working for a main contractor in a Project Management position with a proven track record of success in delivering projects up to £40m+

The Role

* Job Title: Project Manager
* Job Type: Permanent
* Project: £12m new build & refurbishment of a learning facility based in Northumberland
* Reporting to: Project Director



Duties

* Cost Control
* Liaising with the client
* Conduct regular meetings on-site
* Managing multi disciplinary teams
* Monitoring and control of sub contractors
* Overseeing and maintaining the highest standards of safety
* Contributing to the value engineering and build-ability of the project
* Planning and monitoring works and regularly reviewing of the programme
* Establishing and maintaining commercial and financial control systems, procedures and standards which will meet the contractual requirements of the projects
* Ensuring that key dates, resource requirements, production rates, overhead targets etc, are established, monitored and controlled
* Agreement of programmes and methods of construction with Planners and other appropriate production personnel



* Organising and overseeing the site team and all construction procedures to ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner
* Strong leadership skills including experience in leading site teams, large programmes of work and has the confidence and ability to lead, influence and communicate with others to deliver targets
