Quality Manager

A UK major main construction and engineering contractor with over 100 years experience in the build industry. Overview

You will ensure proper execution of quality systems across the business and regularly conduct internal / external audits as well as staff training on internal quality systems.



Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* CSCS card
* Membership of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) (Practioner or Member)
* HND or Degree in Civil Engineering / relevant industry area
* Lead auditor qualifications or Internal Auditor qualifications (or working towards)

It is also essential that you hold the knowledge and skills below;

* Excellent communication skills
* Leadership and management skills
* Office 365 expertise including Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint A working knowledge of Business Management Systems and contractual documentation

The Role

* Job Title: Quality Manager
* Job Type: Permanent
* Location: Yorkshire
* Projects: Various framework projects such as education, healthcare, MoD & MoJ with build values between £5m - £100m+

Duties

* Reporting progress
* Conduct internal / external audits
* Provide Quality input into Tenders
* Provide feedback to other projects on quality issue
* Represent the company at client audits (2nd party audits)
* Plan, manage, and carry out the Regional internal audit program
* Ensure compliance with the ISO Standards and the company BMS
* Attend Technical, Safety & Environmental and Review meetings at site start up
* Manage the management review programme within the scope for the BMS and region
* Reporting on all findings including good practice, non conformances, and observations
* Arrange random sampling audits of projects and the record retention held on Viewpoint and Fieldview
* Maintain list of trained auditors, include review of reports and feedback as part of career development
* Assist the Bid and the Project Managers to establish and update the FM-IM-001 Project Information Plan
* Assist with Project Quality and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP's) from subcontractors advising on input to the content and agree / approve for use on site when complete
