The Project

As an experienced Plant Fitter, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing heavy plant machinery for a range of projects, including earthworks, drainage, demolition, coastal defence, and civil engineering across the North West. Your responsibilities will involve ensuring that key machinery, such as excavators, dozers, loaders, and crushers, remains in peak operational condition, minimising downtime and optimising productivity. This position is crucial to the successful execution and seamless operation of large-scale infrastructure projects in the region, directly contributing to their efficiency and timely completion.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* Blue CSCS card
* Relevant Mechanical Engineering Qualifications (desirable but not essential)
* Valid UK driving license (HGV license is also desirable but not essential)

It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

* Proven history of maintaining and repairing heavy plant machinery for earthworks, drainage, coastal defence & infrastructure improvements projects
* A comprehensive background in the industry in a Plant Fitter role or a similar position, with hands-on experience operating and maintaining heavy machinery such as HGVs, excavators, dozers, loaders, and crushers

Additional skills;

* IT skills
* Effective time management
* A solid understanding of mechanical systems
* Strong communication and attention to details
* Proficient in utilising relevant diagnostics tools, identifying mechanical faults effectively
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities, capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a team
