The Project

As a highly experienced Logistics Manager, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of a residential development in Greater Manchester, with a build value in excess of £50m. Your responsibilities will include managing the smooth and efficient flow of materials and resources across the site, optimising operations to enhance overall project success.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* SMSTS
* CSCS Black Card - desirable not essential
* First Aid - desirable not essential
* CPCS A61 Appointed Person - desirable not essential



It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

* Extensive background within the industry with at least 3 years of experience working with a leading contractor or subcontractor
* History of operating as a Logistics Manager or in a similar position on major projects

* Efficient time management skills
* Strong expertise in negotiating with vendors, carriers and stakeholders
* Strong communication abilities, written and verbal with a keen eye for detail
* Solid understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial management to optimize logistics expenses and resources
* Proficient with utilising Msite, tracking systems, and other technological tools used in managing supply chain operations

* Monitor expenses and promote effective resource allocation
* Establish and manage financial plans for logistics operations
* Coordinate the storage, management, and control of inventory
* Coordinate and oversee the delivery, storage, and distribution of goods
* Develop and manage logistics strategies to ensure timely delivery of goods
* Monitor the movement of goods and address logistical issues as they occur
