Our client is a well-established electrical and mechanical engineering subcontractor, known for their expertise in delivering packages within public and private sector projects throughout the UK, they have a proven track record of delivering high-quality M&E solutions on new build education, leisure, commercial, health and accommodation projects. As a leading M&E subcontractor, they specialise in designing and installing building services nationwide.



The Project

As a highly experienced Mechanical Site Manager, you will have a key role as part of the M&E team on a £5m plant room conversion in South West London. You will oversee the mechanical package, ensuring the seamless installation and upgrade of plant room systems. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular inspections, maintaining stringent quality control, and collaborating closely with clients, design teams, and other key stakeholders. Your expertise will ensure the project progresses smoothly, meeting deadlines, staying within budget and achieving the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* SMSTS
* CSCS Card
* First Aid

It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

* Experience in the healthcare sector is advantageous but not required
* Extensive background within the industry with at least 3 years of experience working in a Mechanical Site Manager position or similar for a leading contractor or subcontractor

* Strong written and verbal communication skills with a thorough meticulous eye for detail

Duties

* Inductions
* Safety briefings
* Oversee subcontractors
* Liaise with and manage electrical subcontractor
* Reporting regularly to the Visting Contracts Manager
* Conduct routine safety audits and on-site inspections
* Address technical issues on-site and implement effective solutions
* Ensure work proceeds in accordance with the project plan and schedule
