The Project

As an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be overseeing a key role as part of the commercial team on a diverse range of projects including retail, shopfitting, groundworks and commercial decorating. You will be supporting and overseeing all aspects of cost management, from initial client discussions to project completion to ensure smooth and efficient project delivery.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* Full UK driving license

It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

* Experience in groundworks (not essential but desirable)
* History of operating in retail and shopfitting (not essential but desired)
* Extensive background within the industry, working for a leading commercial construction company
* Extensive experience of working in an Assistant Quantity Surveyor position, holding a minimum of 3 years' experience
* Previous experience working on projects within the retail, shopfitting, groundworks and commercial decorating sector in an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or comparable position

* Understanding of construction laws and regulations
* The ability to accurately estimate the costs associated with the project
* A solid understanding of construction materials, methods, and techniques

* Efficient utilisation of advanced IT tools and software such as Bluebeam (experience with Bluebeam is desired not essential)
