Senior Planner Regional Role - North West

The Projects

As a highly experienced Senior Planner, based in the North West, you will play a crucial role in overseeing various large commercial and education new build / refurbishment projects. You will be coordinating the planning, scheduling, and coordination to ensure a smooth and successful completion.



Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* Extensive background, 5 years minimum of effectively operating in a Planner position or similar, working on various large commercial and education new builds and refurbishments
* A demonstrated track record of delivering high quality plans and schedules on projects, delivered on time and within budget

Additional skills;

* IT skills
* Ability to negotiation effectively
* Strong strategic and analytical thinking
* Proficient in relevant planning software
* Strong communication and attention to details
* A wide understanding of construction laws and regulations
* The ability to accurately estimate the costs associated with the project
* A solid understanding of construction planning processes, materials, and methodologies
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders

Duties

* Support and mentor planning teams
* Participate in strategic decision-making
* Procure essential permits and approvals
* Reporting directly to Operations Director
* Conduct thorough onsite progress assessments
* Develop project budgets and oversee expenditure
* Maintain and oversee relationships with stakeholders
* Oversee the planning process from initiation to completion
* Implement effective measures to sustain project momentum
* Effectively oversee, monitor, and nurture positive client relationships
* Implement risk management plans to address unforeseen challenges
* Monitor and manage project timelines to ensure adherence to deadlines
* Address client concerns
