The Company

An innovative and reputable West Yorkshire based construction contractor that is committed to delivering high-quality projects across a variety of sectors including retail, education, commercial and industrial. Our client has over 20 years of experience within the industry, predominately covering major refurbishment packages as well as new build projects with values ranging from £100k to £3m. At current, the business is looking to appoint a Builder / Foreman to deliver build & refurbishment packages across West Yorkshire & Midlands regions. The ideal candidate must also be willing to occasionally work away.

The Role

A highly skilled Builder / Foreman, you will be leading and assisting the site team in the constructing and delivering new build and refurbishment projects, valuing up to £3m across retail, residential, commercial and industrial sectors.

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications

For this role you must possess the following;

* Experience working as a Builder / Foreman on small works projects (£100k to £3m)
* Previous / current hands-on trade background (Bricklaying / General Building / Carpentry / Joinery)
* Working in a fast past construction environment
* SMSTS
* First Aid (3 Day Course)
* CSCS Card

Duties

* Be hands on and help the guys on site as required
* Lead and motivate the site team to ensure all works are completed on time
* Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality workmanship.
* Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all works meets quality standards and project specifications.
* Implement and maintain quality control procedures.
* Efficiently allocate resources, including manpower and materials, to optimize productivity.
* Enforce and uphold safety protocols and regulations on the worksite.
* Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions.
* Serve as a liaison between the site team and Senior Management.
* Communicate project updates, challenges, and progress to Senior Management.
* Monitor project costs to keep project programmes within budget.
