Site Manager - Groundworks

The Project

As an experienced Site Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing a £2m Groundworks Package for a small extension to an existing prison in Liverpool. Your responsibilities will include overseeing all aspects of the groundworks package, ensuring works are handed over in a safe and efficient manner.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following as a minimum;

* SMSTS
* First Aid
* CSCS Card
* Must be able to pass a background check (no past criminal convictions)

It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

* This is a client facing role so demonstratable experience in a similar position is required
* Previously managed the civils or groundworks package on similar projects with values in excess of £1m+

* Knowledgeable of health and safety regulations and protocols

The Role

* Reporting to: Contracts Manager

Duties

* Ordering materials
* Liaise with clients and stakeholders
* Update and maintain progress reports
* Executing and upholding company protocols and guidelines
* Coordinate and oversee all aspects of construction activities on site
* Overseeing and ensuring the upkeep of site facilities and equipment
* Manage and provide support and guidance to the wider groundworks team
* Coordinate and liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and construction workers
* Ensure tasks are accomplished according to schedule and within financial plan
* Carry out consistent inspections to verify quality standards are significantly met
* Adhere to Health and Safety regulations, whilst upholding a secure work environment
* Manage project budgets and expenses, including procurement of materials and equipment
* Stay in regular contact with your team, engaging in ongoing discussions about project updates and handling any issues that may arise
* Maintain precise documentation of site operations, encompassing progress updates, safety evaluat
