The Project
As an experienced Electrical Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will lead the commercial aspect of a £60m MEP package on a large New Build Industrial Facility in Ayrshire, Scotland. You will supervise and mentor the commercial team and provide guidance on technical and professional matters whilst collaborating with other departments across the wider business. You will serve as an integral member of the senior leadership team, playing a pivotal role in guiding the financial strategy, contractual management and commercial success of the projects.
Requirements
For this role it is essential that you hold the skills & knowledge below;
* Strong negotiation capabilities
* Experience in claims resolution
* Ability to multitask and prioritise projects
* Strong communication and attention to detail
* Understanding of construction laws and regulations
* The ability to accurately estimate the costs associated with the project
* Experienced & familiar with managing / leading a large commercial team
* A solid understanding of construction materials, methods, and techniques
* A track record of delivering quality results whilst maintaining positive relationships
It is also essential that you hold the experience below;
* History of delivering MEP commercial packages with values in excess of £10m+ in a similar position
* Extensive background, 5 years minimum with a proven track record of success on major projects with a major main contractor or subcontractor

Duties
* Procurement
* Analysis of tender allowances
* Closely monitoring site activities
* Preparing material reconciliations
* Cash management and maximization
* Monitoring and overseeing measures
* Ability to multitask and prioritise projects
* Preparing and submitting material delivery sheets
* Maintain sustainable and productive relationships with existing clients
* Develop accurate and consistent bids with the help of relevant departments
* Working closely with subcontractors to ensure accurate costs and payments
* Participate in the recording of delays & preparation of any request for extensions of time
* Ensure deadlines are actively managed and progress is reported to super
