Setting Out Engineer

They are a highly passionate contractor and ensure all projects are delivered to a high industry standard and handled with care.



The Project

As an experienced Setting Out Engineer, you will play a crucial role on a fast-paced Multi £bn Civil Engineering Project in North Yorkshire. You will play a key role in the project, overseeing the setting out, QA and line levelling, ensuring the project is delivered to a high standard, and complying with health & safety regulations

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* CSCS Card

It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

* Experience of using Leica TS16 Robotic equipment
* Experience of setting out on major civil engineering developments, RC frame experience is preferred but not essential

The Role

* Job Title: Setting Out Engineer
* Project: Large Heavy Civil Engineering Project, North Yorkshire
* Duration: 6 Months
* Reporting to: Senior Engineer

Duties

* Surveying
* Setting Out
* Problem solving
* Adhere to current H&S regulations
* Create as built surveys and log data
* Attend and contribute in project related meetings
* Management of onsite labour including subcontractors
* Provide progress updates to the senior management team
* Provide technical advice to project team members and clients
* Operate, manage and take full responsibility for all setting out equipment
* Ensuring quality and environmental standards are met and recorded accurately
* Maintain detailed records for the progressive and completed works, for measurements, reconciliation and record purposes
