Freelance Site Engineer - Civils on a Water Framework

Their expertise spans between various ventures, including highways, bridges, utilities, and environmental initiatives.



The Project

As a skilled Site Engineer, you will be tasked with the successful completion of civil engineering works on a busy Water Framework in the North East of England. Projects will include flood defences, reservoirs and waste water treatment works. You will play a crucial role in the delivery of various schemes, ensuring that projects adhere to design specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.



Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* CSCS Card

It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

* Steady history of working in a similar position, for a leading construction contractor
* Proven track record of successfully completing civils works on similar schemes or frameworks



The Role

Duties

* Surveying
* Setting Out
* Problem solving
* Quality Assurance
* Provide guidance to site teams
* Efficiently oversee materials meet the required standards
* Ensure accurate layout of construction elements on the site
* Resolve technical issues that may arise during construction
* Conduct and promote safety standards on the construction site
* Setting out for groundworks and structures on the water framework
* Monitor the progress of construction and make adjustments as necessary
* Work closely with project managers to plan and schedule construction activities
* Ensure that construction activities adhere to the project schedule and milestones
* Develop detailed work plans, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives
* Communicate regularly with project managers, architects, clients, and other stakeholders
* Oversee on-site construction activities to ensure they align with approved plans and specifications
* Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure construction work meets specified standards
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and as-built drawings
