The Project

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our growing team at our Derby based Head Office. The successful candidate will oversee various developments to the total value of £15m across a range of sectors including industrial, commercial, education and health care. Projects are nationwide so a willingness to travel is essential. You will play a key role in managing contracts throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance, minimizing risks, and fostering positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.



Requirements

It is essential that you hold the experience below;



* Must be flexible and adaptable
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in the construction industry
* Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite
* Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Strong understanding of construction contracts, legal requirements, and risk management

* Project: Various Commercial, Industrial and Education Developments up to £10m each
* Contract: Permanent
* Reporting to: Construction Director

Duties

* Regular negotiating and problem solving
* Oversee multiple projects at once across the UK
* Overseeing health and safety and quality assurance audits on site
* Provide both internal and external contract-related issue resolution
* Monitor project timelines and budgets in conjunction with contract terms
* Manage contract modifications, extensions, and amendments as necessary
* Oversee contract performance to ensure all parties meet their contractual obligations
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, legal requirements, and company policies
* Collaborate with project teams to ensure contracts align with project requirements and objectives
* Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and subcontractors regarding contract-related matters
* Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to maintain positive working relationships
* Liaising with the end client, local authorities, senior management and other third-party stakeholders
* Regular reporting to the Senior Management Team and Board of Directors
